Prescription Information

Important Notice

It is national protocol that we now no longer accept prescriptions over the telephone.  Please be advised we keep the telephone and email open for housebound, vulnerable and care home patients, the telephone/email service should not be used by patients who are able to order online or those who order their prescription in surgery.

In the first instance you must order your prescription via the NHS App.  If you haven't already done so please download the App and follow the instructions to register.  This will enable you to request your medication, view medical history, book an appointment and seek out advice.

You can register for Online access through the Practice.

we do advise patients that it may take up to 48 hours for the pharmacists to have your prescription ready, so please order with plenty of time to allow this.

Repeat Prescriptions

Please note all prescriptions should be ordered and collected from the clinic building between the hours of 8am to 6pm. If you collect your medication from the White Rose Pharmacy, your prescription will be sent to them as usual.

There are a number of ways you can order your repeat prescription:

  1. Completing your prescription counterfoil and placing it in the prescriptions box in Reception
  2. Posting your prescription counterfoil to the surgery address
  3. Ordering your prescription online (download the Airmid or NHS app)- please ask Reception staff to grant you access to online services.
  4. Alternative arrangements can be made for housebound patients and palliative care patients

Advice for ordering your prescription online

In co-operation with SystmOne, our computer system supplier, we're providing a service that enables you access to your healthcare online.

Ask Reception to grant you access to online services. You can then download the Airmid app or NHS app.

Once you've created an account, you will be able to use the online services of your practice. These may include appointments, repeat medication, secure messages, medical record view and updating your personal information.
